Free Music Instrument Lessons in Northfield Academy
Aberdeen City Music Service aims to offer high quality musical experiences for children and young people across the city.
Music Instructors visit all schools in Aberdeen and offer weekly lessons on a range of musical instruments to small groups of children learning together.
There may now be the opportunity for your child to receive lessons in Northfield free of charge. This is on a first come-first served basis.
Instruments Available include:
- Drums and Percussion
- Guitar and Ukulele
- Piano
- Violin
- Woodwind
There may already be a waiting list in your school. If so, and there are no spaces available in your school, your child will be placed on the waiting list & offered lessons as soon as a lesson time becomes available.

Creative Industries Animation
The creative industries class have been working really hard this year to create an animation to present to the school & community. They began by writing the story and developing this into a stop motion animation using a range of digital techniques, then overlaying sound effects and a script.
Sadly due to lockdown they missed some editing opportunities but the end result is still fab!

British Gas Apprentice Smart Energy Experts – Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire
Fantastic opportunities for young people with four NAT5’s, or equivalent, preferably including Math’s and English, a driving licence (if test booked, let them know) and excellent customer service skills.
