APA – GREASE ‘SCHOOL EDITION’
One of our pupils, Rhylan Quinn, is part of the cast for ‘Grease’ which was initially scheduled for September 2020, but has been postponed four times due to Covid. The whole cast have worked tirelessly, attending rehearsals online throughout lockdown and also back in the studio over the last few months.

Red Nose day – Friday 18th March 2022
Red Nose day is on Friday 18th March and Northfield Academy will be raising money.
Red noses continue to be on sale at £1.50 each on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday from the main corridor from now until Friday 18th March.
Friday 18th March wear something red and make a donation. Friday 18th March cupcakes sale cupcakes made by the dining hall staff will be for sale for £1 each from the main corridor.
Senior Phase Parents Evening – 01/03/22
Dear Parent / Carer
We apologise for having to cancel yesterday evenings Senior phase parents evening due to unforeseen technical issues; unfortunately our school lost all WiFi connectivity along with some other parts of the Authority.
We are pleased to inform you that the Senior phase parents evening will be re-scheduled for Wednesday 16th March from 4pm-6pm and booking information will be sent to you in due course.

Crisis In Ukraine
We know that the events in Ukraine are extremely worrying and frightening for a number of people within our school community. Information about the ongoing conflict is available from a number of sources, however, some of these may not be providing reliable information and could well be the source of ‘fake news’. This includes videos shared on platforms like TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat.
We would encourage pupils, parents/carers and other members of the school community to access the most up-to-date information through one of the following sources:

We are thrilled to announce an EIFF YOUTH at Edinburgh International Film Festival Weekender taking place at Belmont Filmhouse next weekend. The theme for the event is #Generations & the films have been selected by young programmers from Northfield Academy: Official. The screenings will also include intros from the Young Programmers themselves

Comic Relief 2022
As part of our fundraising for Comic Relief Red Noses will be available for Sale Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at break from the shop in the main corridor.
Red noses are £1.50 each with at least 75p going to Comic Relief. Red Noses are 100% plastic free.
Please note we only have 80 noses and when they are gone they are gone.
On Red nose day itself (Friday 18th March) we will have a wear something red day and there will be cupcakes for sale from the shop in the main corridor.
